The Kamo River is a great place to feel Kyoto. There are many restaurants along Imadegawa Street, and popular stores such as Demachi-Futaba (bean cakes) and Mangetsu (Ajari rice cakes) are within walking distance. Eating your way through the community-based Demachi Masugata Shopping Street, lined with Kyoto-style stores, is also recommended. Demachiyanagi Station is the first station to popular destinations such as Kurama, Fushimi Inari Taisha, Gion, and Tofukuji Temple. There is a bus stop right next to the inn for easy access to Kyoto Station, Ginkakuji Temple, and Kinkakuji Temple. Renting a bicycle near the station is also a great way to spend time in Kyoto.
