Mainly Winter
In winter, East Hokkaido is bustling with red-crowned cranes, Steller’s sea eagles, Blakiston’s fish owl, etc., which are representative of Japan. In recent years, sea otters have also been increasing in number and can be easily observed around Kiritappu and Nemuro. This plan will mainly visit Tsurui Village, Hamanaka Town, and Nemuro City, where there are many points of interest for observing winter migratory birds.
